## Version 1.36.0 (2026-10-19)

- New main menu: instead of a still image, the battlefield now shows two live castles with flags and effects, rendered just like in a match. On narrow screens one castle sits in the middle; with reduced motion or on slow devices the scene stays calm.
- The start page now introduces the game with a short text and direct links to the rules, the card library, the strategy guide and the Castle Wars comparison.
- The overview pages show what is new in the latest version, with a link to the full changelog.

- More reliable server start after updates: the first moments after a restart no longer produce brief errors.

- On tablets and phones in fullscreen, all dialogs (feedback, join by code, secure account, name, delete account, legal notice) can be used again; before, they were hidden behind the game.
- Achievement conditions and leader effects can now be read by tapping, not only by hovering with a mouse.
- The "Install as app" button no longer disappears after a match on phones and tablets.
- Quick match: if a second player joins right as the search timer runs out, the two now play each other instead of one getting a bot.

- The code dialog for securing an account no longer closes when you click next to it; only Cancel or Escape close it.
- Rejected sign-in codes are logged with a reason on the server, without any personal data, so support can help faster.
- The game also starts over plain http on a local network, for example when testing on a phone.
